He raced for many teams such as: Ferrari, Brabham, Lotus, McLaren and Williams, Jacky is a true F1 Icon. Here we offer an iconic recreation helmet of this legendary F1 and Le Mans driver, this simple design with the very dark blue (almost black) base and the white striping is very powerful and very recognizable, combined with the twin eye helmet design makes this a very remarkable and unique piece. This vintage helmet (more than 50 years old) is painstakingly and professionally restored to match the very rare XF-GP Twin Window Eye port, which is extremely expensive, this transformation is perfectly done! When Dr. Helmut Marko was driving his F1 car in the seventies he drove right behind Ronnie Peterson when a stone jumped up from Ronnie’s rear wheel and went through Helmut’s visor which ended his racing career by destroying his left eye. After this accident, the F1 drivers demanded a smaller visor and Bell came up whit smaller visors and finally the XP model with 2 windows. After a short time, the demand came back to bigger openings but stronger visor material and the XP or XF model disappeared. Now it is nearly impossible to find an original XP helmet so this recreation is the closest you can get to the real thing. This vintage seventies helmet has been fully stripped and then perfectly painted with new graphics. the helmet has the original SNELL 1970 rating (so it could be used for professional motorsports), also the size, and warning labels are original and still inside. The visor is the original visor that came with the helmet. This beautiful piece is perfect for displaying in any collection, home, mancave or office.
