Beautiful, hard-to-find, old and rare 17years old Glenrothes Vintage Single Malt 1984 Distillery Bottling. Distilled: 17/11/1984 (almost 40 years ago !); bottled: 2002 (approved: 16/3/02). Another powerfully fruity malt, with hints of ripe melon carrying through on the delicious spicy vanilla oak palate. A whisky best appreciated after a good meal. Glenrothes (established since 1879 on the banks of the river Spey, in the small town of Rothes, in the heart of the Speyside region) makes rare malt whiskies of exception. Soft and pure spring water exclusive to their distillery, is very slowly distilled, and then aged in custom made, sherry seasoned oak casks from our bodegas in Spain. This creates complex yet refined, naturally coloured whisky with delicate sherry notes, underpinned by layers of fruity depth. Crafted by a small team of lifelong whisky makers, only a limited volume is available for release each year. In 2018, The Glenrothes replaced its vintage range with a series of age statement single malts that included a 10, 12, 18 and 25 Year Old.
