Stunning Loetz iridescent glass vase in Creta Papillon Décor. This Art Nouveau piece stands 18cm tall with a diameter of 10cm and weighs approximately 550 grams. Made circa 1895-1900, it's in excellent original condition, showcasing the signature deep green metallic luster that Loetz is famous for. A beautiful and elegant addition to any collection. A beautiful and elegant piece. Unsigned Founded in 1840 by Johann Loetz in Bohemia, Loetz glassworks became renowned for its fine glass. Operated by Loetz's widow and later by his grandson, Max Ritter von Spaun, the factory modernized and introduced innovative techniques. By 1889, they exhibited at the Paris International Exposition and later patented a technique for their iconic iridescent finishes. By the turn of the century, Loetz was celebrated as a leading producer of Art Nouveau glass worldwide.
