The Star for Order and Peace. Instituted 1947 for participants of the miltary actions and presence to suppress the insurection by Indonesian Nationalist. After the second war The Netherlands tried to restablish the colonial rul in The Dutch Indies (now Indonesia), but this was resisted by Indonesian nationalist who declared indepence form Dutch rule. The insurrection was crushed but the natiolist started a guerilla war. The Dutch did not want to name it a war and were naming the miltary involvement: "Police Actions". The words on the medal "Orde en Vrede" (Order and Peace) are a reflection of how we saw this actions. There are claps for the year of service. This medal has the clasps 1948,1949,1950.
Volunteer Medal. Instituted 1958. For 10 years volunatry service in a reserve unit.
