2 bottles of new star o Auvergne wines : - Au champ de la huppe 2022 (Pinot & Gamay) - "Qui sait" 2022 (Gamay) Henri Chauvet, 1987 vintage, is a new winemaker based in Boudes in the Auvergne. After quitting his job in banking and insurance, he took his BTS in wine and trained with Jérôme Bressy in Rasteau, then with the legendary Thierry Allemand in Cornas. It was during a car journey through the Auvergne that he fell in love with the area ‘and its incredible terroirs’. As fate would have it, an estate came up for sale, 10 beautiful hectares of Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on steep slopes. Henri set up in business in the spring of 2021 and began the conversion to organic farming. A winegrower with his boots on and his feet firmly planted in his vines, for whom natural wine is a means of achieving what he wants to pass on, a winegrower who respects the place, the grape varieties and the vintage, to offer us a true terroir wine. The results have been astonishing right from his first vintage: the juices are precise, pure, vibrant and very straightforward, and the bottles are already being snapped up - and it's easy to see why!
