Decorative ornament - Silver Spirit Measure

Sterling silver (.925) double-ended spirit measure (also called a jigger, shot measure, or bar cup), designed for measuring pours—typically 2.5 ml single-shot & 5ml double-shot volumes. The fluted/ribbed body, waisted pedestal stem, and footed base give it an elegant, hourglass-like form that’s decorative as well as functional, common in mid-20th century barware or small drinking vessels. The marking “S.T.SILVER” is a common manufacturer’s or retailer’s stamp indicating “Sterling Silver.” It’s not a formal assay hallmark from a government office (like British or Australian ones) but a quality/marketing mark. This stamp appears frequently on mid-20th century pieces from India (often for export markets, with matte finishes, decorative borders, or simple designs), Israel (Jerusalem or similar makers), some Asian/Indian colonial-style items, or generic export silver. It’s seen on cups, shakers, trays, and small vessels. PLEASE NOTE: THE ITEM HAS BEEN TESTED BY GODOT & FILS OF RENNES. THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THE WEIGHT AS 39.85g AND THAT IT IS .925 SILVER (PLEASE SEE FINAL PHOTO). Height: 9.5cm; Weight: 40g. Excellent vintage condition. Minor signs or wear, but no physical damage to the overall structure. Still a functional measure.
