Gunnar Cyrén (1931–2013) – Expo 657-68 – Orrefors, 1968 Hand-painted enamel midsummer goblet Rare and decorative goblet designed by Gunnar Cyrén for Orrefors in 1968. This piece was produced for the Orrefors Expo series and features vibrant hand-painted enamel decoration with traditional Swedish midsummer motifs: stylised flowers, a cottage, and the Swedish flag. The playful yet refined composition is characteristic of Cyrén’s expressive design language during the late 1960s. Signed on the base: “Orrefors Expo 657-68 G. Cyrén” Original Orrefors Sweden label still present. Height: 16.5 cm Condition: Very good vintage condition. The glass is clear and bright. The enamel decoration remains vivid and well preserved. Minor signs of age consistent with careful use. A charming and collectible example of Scandinavian mid-century glass art, combining craftsmanship and folkloric joy in a single elegant form.
