First edition, first issue, featuring the uncorrected text on pp. 467–474 and signature BB2 misprinted as B2 on p. 371. A very good copy overall, handsomely presented. Internally, the book is notably clean, with only occasional light foxing and slight darkening—even the plates are exceptionally well preserved. The common, unsightly brown blotches often seen in this title are virtually absent. The binding is firm and square, with extensive gilt tooling. Minor scuffing to the top and bottom board edges, but otherwise an excellent and highly collectible copy. Please see photos for condition etc.
