Several items are marked Solingen (Germany), internationally recognized for high-quality surgical steel, as well as Vienna, historically a major center for medical instrument production. The set is housed in a perforated stainless steel sterilization box, designed for use in heated water baths or early sterilization systems, typical for medical and laboratory environments of the period (circa 1940s–1950s).
