Chéri Samba/ Maurice Bimba - Ah c'est bon
Collected in RDC, obtained from a succession in 2008
Chéri Samba or Samba wa Mbimba N'zingo 30/12/1956, worked together with his brothers, Cheik Lady(died in 1997) and Maurice Mbimba. This painting is a co-work, Samba signed, but doesn't see it as his own work, is like merchandising.
I bought this painting in 2008 in Kinshasa, the legacy of a former general.
Chéri Samba made a lot off copies of his works, most have smaller size than the original, presented by André Magnin, the curator off Jean Pigozzi.
In this painting you have the hand of Maurice.
Typical are the glitters in his work.
