An antique wooden box dating from the late 19th century, made of mahogany wood. These Victorian boxes were used in England to store ladies’ gloves. They were adorned with brass or bronze fittings and meticulously crafted with a lock and key. This particular box is missing its key, but is in good condition, except for the paper lining, which is damaged and a missing nail in the fittings. The exterior of the box is in excellent condition.
