CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) – Imperial Gran Reserva 1970 CVNE is one of the most historic wineries in Rioja. Founded in 1879 in Haro, the “Imperial” wine was created in the 1920s as a premium range. Its Gran Reserva wines are considered classics of the traditional Rioja style. In Rioja, the 1970 vintage was declared Very Good. Aging in barrels: approximately 3 to 5 years. Primarily in American oak (sometimes combined with French oak). Bottle aging in the cellar: a minimum of 4 to 6 years before release. In total, these wines could be released after 8–10 years of aging. Always in a private cellar with controlled temperature.
