Elegant Russian Imperial silver tea strainer spoon, crafted in Moscow in 1867 from 84 zolotnik silver (875‰). The piece features finely hand-pierced work and rich niello decoration with geometric lattice panels, stylized bow motifs and floral ornaments, characteristic of mid-19th century Russian silverwork. The bowl interior retains its original gilding. The hallmarks are clearly visible on the handle: Moscow assay mark date 1867 “84” silver standard assay master “В.С.” for Viktor Savinkov (active 1855–1888) maker’s mark “ИА” for Ivan Alexeyev (active circa 1850–1870) Tea strainer spoons of this type were used in the traditional Russian tea culture associated with samovars and loose-leaf tea service.
