A characterful early 19t century Dutch Teestoff (tea stove bucket for hot coals) in excellent condition. The body is finely constructed from alternating ribbed bands of fruitwood and ebonised rings, creating both strength and a striking contrast of colour and texture.
Original Purpose: Originally, they held hot coals to keep a teapot warm on the table or near the fireplace.
