アフリカ系キルディ族の鉄製投げ刃 - マファ族
長さ60 cm、幅23 cm。
中央アフリカ、カメルーン、キリディ族、紀元後20世紀頃。
重い投げ刃として知られ、マファ（別名マタカム、matakam）として知られ、鍛えられた鉄の刃を持ち、末端にはラタンで巻かれた太い柄と一体型の吊り紐用ループが備わっています。
刃の先端部は二つの半円状の曲線で構成され、鋭くない先端で終わり、外側には細い引っ掛かりが突き出て、下面の円弧には鍛造鉄の環状留め具が取り付けられています。
刃身の両面には数十の刻印が施され、独特で個性的な印象を与える。
この武器は年季を感じさせる使用跡が見られる良好な中古状態です。
