Lovely blue-and-white Chinese porcelain tea caddy, made in Jingdezhen during the Kangxi period (1662–1722). The vessel is decorated with a scrolling lotus pattern. The hallmarked silver mount, bearing a sword mark, is a later Dutch addition dating to the early 20th century. The mount is engraved with a floral pattern that complements the decoration on the vase well. Condition: very good, apart from a short tension line in the foot ring (see photographs).
