A fine 19th century Chinese porcelain cadogan teapot, modelled in the form of a Buddhist lion / guardian lion holding a shield-shaped vessel. The teapot is covered in a striking monochrome turquoise blue enamel glaze, with dark aubergine-brown enamel to the spout, handle and base details.
The base bears an impressed maker’s mark 'made by Zhu Guifa'
