The shifting reflections, broken colour, and constant movement allow for a kind of controlled chaos in the brushwork. With this piece I wanted to capture that brief moment at sunset when the sea, sky, and wet sand begin to dissolve into one another, and the entire landscape feels lit from within. _____________________________________________________________ About the artist Gonçalo Teixeira is a Portuguese painter working across traditional and digital media. Trained at the University of Porto and Arts University Bournemouth, his work focuses on portraiture, symbolism, and the emotional weight of the human figure. Drawing from classical painting, mythology, Catholic imagery, and dreamlike narratives, his paintings explore themes of memory, beauty, mortality, and inner tension. His work has been exhibited in Porto, Lisbon, and Barcelona and collected internationally.
