A wooden Japanese writing desk with butterfly and leaf décor on a black background, signed bottom right, made in Japan in the late 19th century for the European market, closed dimensions 33 x 26.5 x 10.5 cm, with a small interior compartment and lids adorned with flowers, in fairly good condition with some wear including a missing side drawer, non‑functional lock and a small loss in the wood.
