Isle of Jura is a whisky distillery on the Isle of Jura, Scotland, UK, located in Craighouse. Originally founded in 1810, the distillery was reborn in 1963, revitalizing a local community.
This Jura spent its maturation period in former bourbon barrels made of white oak. Ultimately, the whisky was refined in the same casks in which the Amoroso sherry was previously stored.
On the nose, notes of lemons, juicy pears and creamy vanilla rise. On the palate, exotic notes of pineapple, spicy coffee, fine almond and freshly baked fruit cake are perceived. The finish is long-lasting.
