A charming set of 4 copperplate maps of the Iberian Peninsula, featuring the kingdoms of Spain and Portugal. Dated 1670–1809. The oldest map is by Nicolas Sanson ‘le fils’ (the son), who, like his father, held the title of ‘Géographe du Roy’ (Royal Geographer). He worked closely with his father, Nicolas Sanson d'Abbeville. Published: circa 1670. The most recent map is by Poirson, dated 1809
