The sides of the lighter present completely different decorations: On the obverse is reproduced in relief the imperial profile of Napoleon Bonaparte, wearing his famous bicorn hat, accompanied by the symbol of the French imperial eagle. On the reverse is applied a jubilee medal from Belgium, issued to celebrate seventy-five years since the declaration of national independence. The central scene depicts a group of armed revolutionary soldiers, grouped around the Belgian flag, with the anniversary text and the years one thousand eight hundred and thirty and one thousand nine hundred and five inscribed.
