Intarsia hand-made backgammon set in a wooden box from Turkey, dating to the mid 20th century, with 30 wooden discs (15 light, 15 dark), two white and two red dice, an interior board inlaid with different woods and mother-of-pearl, and an outer side that can be used as a chessboard; opened dimensions 30x30 cm and 2.5 cm high, closed 30x15x5 cm, weight about 550 g, and in near-mint condition.
