Medieval Bronze リング - 西暦10世紀から13世紀まで (No reserve price)

Medieval Islamic Signet Ring – Islamic Culture – 10th to 13th Century AD A bronze signet ring featuring a square bezel engraved with a bold geometric composition reminiscent of stylized Kufic calligraphy. The angular arrangement of raised lines and recessed fields is characteristic of medieval Islamic decorative traditions, where abstract and epigraphic motifs frequently replaced figurative imagery. Such rings served as personal adornments and, in some cases, as seals associated with ownership, administration, or social status. The ring displays a broad hoop and a substantial bezel, giving it an imposing appearance despite its modest size. The surface exhibits an attractive dark patina with areas of mineral accretion and age-related wear consistent with considerable antiquity. The engraved design remains clearly visible and contributes to the strong visual character of the piece. Material: Bronze Dimensions: 2.1 × 2 cm Weight: 5.20 g Provenance: Acquired in Germany. Former German private collection assembled during the 1990s. All items come with CoA.
