Hand-carved wooden dervish kashkul (begging bowl), traditionally associated with Sufi devotional practices in the Middle East and Anatolia. The bowl is carved from a single piece of wood and decorated with incised inscriptions in Arabic script. Such inscriptions are commonly found on objects used by wandering dervishes for collecting alms.
