Moneda con diseño conmemorativo conocida como “Caravelle”, por la representación de tres carabelas navegando a toda vela en el reverso, símbolo del espíritu explorador de Italia. En el anverso se representa un busto femenino alegórico de Italia con un elaborado tocado renacentista, rodeado por una corona de escudos que representan las regiones italianas. Esta moneda fue acuñada en plata y es una de las más emblemáticas de la República Italiana del siglo XX.
