ローマ帝国期 ヴィーナスのブロンズ像（小像）、1世紀–3世紀AD
美と愛、繁殖、そして女性の美徳の女神ヴィーナスをかたどる、精緻に鋳造されたローマの青銅製小像で、紀元後1世紀から3世紀にさかのぼります。像は優雅な姿勢で裸体の立像として表され、髪へと手を挙げるジェスチャーはヴィーナス・プディカの伝統に特徴的なもので、ローマ世界全体で広く再現された彫刻タイプです。こうした小さな青銅像は、家庭の shrine（ラーラリア）や別荘、私的空間において装飾と信仰の両用途でよく展示され、保護・繁栄・美・結婚の調和を祈念しました。
彫像は端正なプロポーション、緻密に形作られた女性美、そして長い年月を経て生じた魅力的な古代の緑がかった褐色の patina を備え、ローマ青銅工芸の趣と美的洗練を今に伝えます。
