Matching pair of Teti wall/ceiling lamps designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, Italy Early-production examples of one of the most recognisable creations of Italian design. Designed to function both as wall lamps and ceiling fixtures, Teti combines simplicity, functionality and sculptural presence in a compact geometric form. Its timeless design has remained appreciated by collectors, architects and interior designers for more than four decades. Both lamps retain the original moulded manufacturer's mark: "Artemide S.p.A. Milano – Modello Teti – Design Vico Magistretti – Made in Italy – Patent Pending" The "Patent Pending" inscription identifies these examples as belonging to the earliest production period and distinguishes them from later editions. Matching early-production pairs are particularly suitable for symmetrical installations such as bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms and hospitality interiors.
