The 651 Series "Super Hitachi" was one of JR East's flagship limited express trains, operating between Tokyo (Ueno) and Sendai from 1989 and becoming one of Japan's most recognizable intercity train services. All seven vehicles are equipped with interior lighting. One driving cab car is equipped with directional white headlamps and red tail lights, which change automatically according to the direction of travel. Please note that the second driving cab car has working interior lighting, but the directional headlamps and tail lights are not functioning. Two of the intermediate coaches are equipped with pantographs. One of these coaches contains the motor that powers the entire train. The train runs very smoothly and very quietly in both directions. The set is in excellent condition. Instruction sheet and unused decals are included. The coaches equipped with lighting may flicker slightly when on track and may require minor cleaning or adjustment. Packaging The set comes with original packaging, which shows signs of storage wear.
