A Chinese famille verte, iron red and gilt 'eggshell' porcelain 'European subject tea-cup. Additionally damaged saucer dish. China, late 17th to early 18th century, Kangxi (1662-1722, 康熙) period. Very rare! Finelly potted of very thin, snow-white, translucent porcelain. Superbly painted to the exterior with three medallions with flowers alternating with European houses, pine tree, bird perching on the other tree. Three iron red lines above the foot. Interior with a centered flower medallion surrounded by a geometrical band in iron red and gilt flower-heads. Geometrical band under the top-rim. Decoration repeated on the saucer dish.
