Svend Aage Holm Sørensen “Poppy” Pendant Lamp in Patinated Copper, Denmark, 1960s A sculptural Danish pendant lamp by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, known as the “Poppy” lamp. Designed in the 1960s, this striking piece is built from twelve overlapping serrated metal plates, giving the lamp its distinctive floral silhouette. It is executed in beautifully patinated copper, with a warm, atmospheric surface and a rich vintage character. The layered construction creates a wonderful play of light and shadow, giving a cozy, golden glow when lit. A compact pendant with real presence, equally suited above a dining table, in a hallway, bedroom or intimate seating corner. The lamp comes with its original chain and ceiling cone, which neatly hides the hook at the ceiling. The current total drop from ceiling to the bottom of the lamp is approximately 100 cm. Extra length can be achieved by lengthening the wiring and chain, while the lamp can also easily be shortened by removing links from the chain. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The copper has a beautiful natural patina consistent with age.
