T. Pimenta (1991) - "La Lame" - XL 1/1

T. Pimenta (1991), Portuguese digital artist, presents "La Lame", an original and unique digital artwork (1/1), developed with the support of advanced digital tools and produced as a premium Fine Art Giclée on premium 100% cotton canvas. Conceived as an exclusive piece, the artwork is hand-signed on the reverse and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA). "La Lame" – Exclusive Fine Art Giclée on Premium Cotton Canvas Artwork Details: Technique: High-quality Fine Art Giclée on premium 100% cotton canvas, 370 g/m², produced using museum-quality inks for enhanced definition and colour depth. Artwork delivered unframed, rolled in a protective tube. Image Size: 60 × 80 cm. Total Canvas Size: 70 × 90 cm (including 5 cm stretching margins on all sides). Margins: Additional 5 cm canvas margins included to facilitate stretching and framing. "La Lame" stages the most intimate of daily rituals — a shave — and transforms it into a study of absolute trust. A nude male figure reclines in a heavy leather barber's chair, throat fully exposed, eyes closed, arms open, every muscle surrendered to the procedure. Standing over him, a barber in dark Victorian attire holds an open straight razor to the lathered throat with surgical calm, one hand guiding the blade while the other steadies the jaw with two fingers. The shaving lather extends beyond the face, applied across the lower abdomen where a small towel preserves the last boundary of modesty — a detail that shifts the scene from a simple grooming ritual into something far more charged. The razor has not finished its work. The face is only the beginning. A tall framed mirror reflects both figures from behind, doubling the intimacy of the scene while a single gas lamp casts warm amber light across skin and steel alike. The marble washstand, the leather strop hanging from its hook, the steaming porcelain bowl — every object confirms this is a space where one man places himself entirely in the hands of another. The artwork explores themes such as trust, vulnerability, control, the rituals of masculine intimacy and the tension between danger and tenderness, rendered through a contemporary figurative visual language with cinematic chiaroscuro and classical compositional structure. Tiago Pimenta is a Portuguese digital artist whose commitment to creating visually striking artworks seeks to develop pieces capable of establishing visual presence and emotional connection with viewers and collectors. The creative process begins with an initial conceptual construction, where the central narrative and emotional direction of the composition are defined. Subsequently, the artistic vision is developed through Adobe tools, digital construction processes and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), adding depth, texture, light and structural refinement. His approach combines traditional artistic sensibilities with contemporary digital techniques, allowing the exploration of different visual languages and the continuous expansion of creative possibilities. Advanced digital tools support specific stages of the creative development process, introducing new compositional and detailing possibilities, while artistic direction, aesthetic selection and final refinement remain under human intervention. Each artwork additionally receives a manual finishing intervention through an individual hand-applied artistic varnishing process, designed to reinforce luminosity, visual depth and material presence. Authentication: Signature: Hand-signed by the artist, Tiago Pimenta, on the reverse. Certificate of Authenticity: Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity (COA), confirming the authenticity and originality of the artwork. The certificate may be provided to the auction winner in physical or digital format, upon request. Exclusivity: Edition: This is a unique artwork (1/1), conceived as an exclusive piece. Worldwide shipping available. Each artwork is carefully packed in a rigid protective tube with tracking and secure shipping conditions. Special attention is given to packaging to ensure every piece arrives safely and in optimal condition for collectors.
