On offer is an old fine full sized violin, labeled: "Label: W. Ed. Voigt jr. Musikinstr. Manufactur Markneukirchen i. S.
The second label: Jacobus Stainer in Absam prope Oenipontum 1760.
The total length of the violin is 592 mm, body – 361 mm. Width of the upper bout: 166 mm; middle: 115 mm; lower: 201 mm. The instrument is ready to play with no cracks, good rosewood and ebony set up, old master made bridge "C. J. Tayler" and new strings. The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful narrow flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight high grained spruce. The purfling has been painstakingly inlaid front and back. Original golden amber reddish varnish remains in excellent condition.
