Large decorative ceramic centrepiece bowl manufactured by Ditmar Urbach, Czechoslovakia.

This impressive sculptural bowl features an organic flowing form with applied floral decoration and a beautifully variegated glaze in warm shades of amber, honey, olive green, brown and cream. The combination of moulded relief decoration and expressive glazing is characteristic of high-quality Czechoslovak art pottery from the first half of the 20th century.

With its generous diameter of 33 cm, it makes an impressive centrepiece or decorative display piece.

Condition
Good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. The underside bears the Ditmar Urbach factory mark together with the impressed model number 706. There is one very small glaze chip/wear mark on the inner underside of the rim, barely noticeable during display (please see the photographs). Otherwise the bowl presents very well.
