バリ島の木彫り - Indonesia - Late 20th century

1970年代の伝統的なバリ島／ジャワ島の木彫り工芸品の例。
このパネルは、 namaste の姿勢で祈る七人の女神を描き、それぞれ光輪を身につけ、クリーム色と赤金色の交互の衣装をまとっています。
両サイドには、ヒンドゥー教・仏教の伝統で守護者とされる神話上の蛇竜ナーガが、像を挟むように配置されています。
このパネルは木製で、赤、緑、金、クリーム色の手描きのディテールが施されています。
色彩は良い状態で良く保存されています。
この作品は1970年代にインドネシアから持ち帰られ、それ以来家族の所有物となっています。
状態: 年相応の自然な使用感を伴う良好な状態。

This colourful wooden relief panel is a fine example of traditional Balinese/Javanese wood carving from the 1970s. The panel depicts seven praying goddesses in namaste pose, each adorned with a halo, dressed in alternating cream and red-golden robes. On either side, the figures are flanked by two imposing Naga dragons — mythical serpent beings regarded as protectors in Hindu and Buddhist tradition.

The panel is made from wood with hand-painted details in red, green, gold and cream. The colours are well preserved.

The piece was brought from Indonesia in the 1970s and has remained in family ownership ever since.

Condition: Good condition, with natural wear consistent with age.
