A ceramic mid‑century modern table by Adri Beligique’s Adriano Cevolini, Belgium, dating to 1940–1950, 124 cm wide by 43 cm high by 47 cm deep, with a hand‑painted tree motif, signed and featuring a chrome foot and a wooden reinforcing plank (with inactive woodworm holes), in good condition with minor signs of aging.
Description from the seller
販売用にPresented for sale is an elegant Adriano Cevolini table, signed and finely executed, offering both decorative presence and functional design integrity.
Adriano Cevolini is a Belgian mid-century design manufacturer/brand active mainly in the 1960s–1970s, known for:
- Chrome-framed furniture (especially coffee and side tables)
- Hand-painted ceramic / glazed tile tops
- Abstract, modernist decorative designs
This piece features a beautifully rendered portrayal of a tree, delicately painted in nuanced tints of brown and white. The composition is enhanced by a refined glaze, which lends the surface a subtle depth and luminosity, preserving the visual softness of the painted motif while affirming its decorative sophistication. The overall condition of the painted surface is good, with the imagery remaining clear, balanced, and aesthetically pleasing.
The table is supported by a chrome foot, providing a contemporary contrast to the warmer artistic elements above. Between the legs is a wooden tightening plank, originally intended to reinforce structural stability. This element is, however, noted to be in less optimal condition, exhibiting inactive woodworm holes. Prospective bidders are advised to inspect the photographs carefully for a clear understanding of this detail. It should be emphasised that the issue is not visually prominent in situ and, if desired, could be restored.
In its entirety, the piece presents as a striking decorative table with a refined artistic surface and a balanced mixed-material construction, combining painted artistry with functional modern support elements.
