A finely potted Yixing stoneware teapot of Han Duo form (漢鐸壺), inspired by the shape of ancient Han dynasty ritual bells. The term Han Duo literally refers to the bronze clappers or bells (duo 鐸) used in antiquity, described in early Chinese texts as small ceremonial bells. This elegant and scholarly form became one of the most celebrated classical Yixing designs, admired for its balanced proportions and literati associations.

専ら中国の宜興の漢鐸壺形の煎茶道具として、古代漢代の儀礼鐘の形にインスパイアされた作品です。漢鐸は文字通り、古代の青銅の撥鐘（duo 鐸）を指し、初期の中国文献には小さな式礼鐘として記されています。この優雅で学究的な形は、バランスのとれたプロポーションと文人趣味の象徴として、宜興の伝統的なデザインの中で最も称賛されるものの一つとなりました。

本体は白泥の滑り（白釉）で装飾され、流れるような草書体の銘文:

清远
(Qing Yuan)

訳:
「清く端麗」または「清澄で奥深い」

この古典的な表現は、茶を楽しむ際の落ち着いた高尚な心の状態を喚起するとともに、上質なお茶のかすかな香りが残ることにも言及しています。裏面には滑りで描かれた竹林が配されており、竹は中国の文人文化において誠実さ・不屈・学問的美徳を象徴します。

茶壷は意識的に、明代の名工・時大彬（「Shi Dabin」）に関連する初期の宜興名作へ敬意を表しており、本品にはその印章が再現されています:
