ドミニカ共和国の赤い琥珀は、希少で淡い色調を持つ琥珀の一種です。主にサンティアゴ近くの山岳地帯にある琥珀鉱山で見つかります。一般には「赤い殻の琥珀」と呼ばれ、その色を帯びる理由は、最初に採掘される琥珀、表面に最も近いものが地球を最も暑くするためです。希少性ゆえあまり知られていませんが、ドミニカ琥珀が発見された時から存在してきました。紫外線に反応することは、我々が知る通りです。推定年齢は2500万〜4400万年程度です。水のように澄み、完全に透明で、コレクターにとって唯一無二の作品で、これまでCatawikiでオークションに出されたことがなく、品質も高いです。私自身、希少性を認めざるを得ません。
