A beautiful vintage art glass bottle vase from the Galaxy Blue series, designed by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, launched in 1982 at the Åfors glassworks. The frosted body is white speckled, with an iridescent mother-of-pearl finish, wrapped in swirling blue glass threads and a single molten glass droplet. The rim and neck show layered blue tones, and looking down into the opening reveals a gorgeous iris-like pattern. A wonderful piece. Labelled: "Boda Artist Collection, Sweden." Diamond-engraved on the base: "Boda, Artist Col., B. Vallien, 48015." Condition is lovely, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The colour combination is beautiful and looks great.
