Item Description
Offered here is a vintage pair of Pioneer SE-20 stereo headphones, an early Japanese-made closed-back dynamic model first released in 1967. This model preceded the later SE-20A and represents Pioneer’s classic late-1960s hi-fi headphone design.

This unit features olive-gray ear cups, black over-ear cushions, a padded headband, metal adjustment arms, and a thick attached cable with a 6.3mm plug. The ear cup label clearly identifies the model as “SE-20” with an 8-ohm impedance and “JAPAN” marking.

The original ear pads were damaged, so they have been replaced with generic compatible ear pads for display and practical use. The original damaged ear pads shown in the photos will also be included with the item.

The headphones show light surface scratches and age-related wear on the ear cups and metal fittings, consistent with vintage use, while the overall appearance remains well-preserved. The replacement ear cushions and headband are clean and presentable, making this a fine example for Pioneer collectors, vintage audio enthusiasts, and those interested in early Japanese hi-fi equipment.
