緊急貨幣（Notgeld）は第一次世界大戦後のヴァイマル共和国の困難な時期に発行された。表にはナポレオン戦争の英雄ゲーハルト・レーベレヒト・フォン・ブリュヘルク将軍の肖像、裏には西ファルテン（ Westfalen ）の紋章を象徴する跳ね馬が描かれている。これらは貴金属の不足のためアルミニウムで鋳造され、ドイツの貨幣史の特筆すべき一章を成している。
