ダイナミックで美しい、古代彫刻を際立たせる見事な作品で、ダチョウの卵の美しさを際立たせています。彫刻は非常に美しいヴィーナスをコルヌコピアとともに描いており、おそらく40年代に制作されたと推定されます。当時はアンチモニーの使用が流行していた時期です。大理石の台座は近年交換されています。
各部が互いの美を引き立て合い、独自の組成を成す見事な作品です。
