このバイクは、Yamaha XSR900を従来とは異なる視点で再解釈する意図をもって生まれました。プロジェクトの目的は単なるエステティックキットの取り付けではなく、設計、製造品質、そして走行挙動が相互に進化する、バランスの取れたバイクを開発することでした。
選定されたベースは、889ccのCP3エンジンとして知られる排気量のYamaha XSR900で、特性・粘り・信頼性に優れるYamahaの機構の中でも高く評価されている一台です。このプラットフォームに対し、Bottpowerが全面的に開発・製作したCarbonキットを取り付けました。Bottpowerはレーシング系のインスピレーションで知られ、品質の高い開発で国際的に評価されている企業です。
キットは、前額部エンデュランス型フロント、タンク、モノシートシート、サイドパネル、数多くのディテールなど、カーボンファイバー製のパーツ群を組み合わせることで、バイクの外観を深く改変します。結果としてXSR900の元々のプロポーションを維持しつつ、70年代後半のレース用バイクに明確にインスパイアされたルックを与えます。
