Description:
Beautiful and finely crafted vintage Egyptian 800 silver decorative dish or vide-poche, featuring intricate hand-engraved motifs in the timeless Pharaonic Revival style.
The center of the dish depicts a detailed scene of a Pharaoh seated majestically on a throne. Radiating outwards, the inner registry showcases iconic ancient Egyptian symbols, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, lotus flowers, and symbolic representations of the sun god Ra. The plate is beautifully finished with an elegant, traditional scalloped/crimped edge with repeating leaf patterns.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition with minor surface scratches and small imperfections typical of hand-crafted vintage silverware, all clearly visible in the provided photographs. Uncleaned to preserve the original patina.
Hallmarks:
The reverse side is clearly struck with three crisp, official Egyptian assay hallmarks, certifying its authenticity, origin, and its 800/1000 silver content (Arabic letter 'ص' for silver, '80%' purity grade, and the official National Lotus Flower mark).
Please examine the high-resolution photos for a detailed look at the condition and hallmarks.
