Suzuki Violin Co. - No. 7 - - アコースティックギター - Japan - 1966

Suzuki Violin Co. No. 7 acoustic guitar, made in Japan in 1966 (serial number is 41.1.20 - Showa year 41 is 1966). The guitar is playable with a lovely old-school Folk sound and looks amazing with its rare finish. Aesthetically is in great condition for its age, it looks so good for a 60-year-old guitar. The bridge and pickguard have lifted slightly but they are currently stable as they are, in fact I have played the guitar comfortably so far, with 0.10 Silk&Steel strings. Personally I wouldn't do anything to them as long as they remain stable as they are, but this is up to the musician who will win the auction. I tried to capture these imperfections in the photos, they are noticeable but they are small so they are not easy to see at first glance. Please check the photos carefully, they are the best way to understand the guitar's condition. These are minor details considering the desirable sound, the rarity of the guitar and the breathtaking finish. This guitar is around 60 years old, so adjust your expectations accordingly. It has scratches, blemishes and imperfections. It will feel different compared to a new instrument. It is playable but it hasn't been professionally setup, so there are things that can be done to improve its playability. I'd suggest it to people who have some experience with vintage guitars and are willing to make adjustments down the line, or who can embrace the imperfections in exchange for a special sound and vibe.
