A fine pair of Chinese Cadogan teapots. Each teapot is modelled in the form of a peach, covered in a vibrant turquoise-blue glaze and raised on a moulded base decorated with stylised waves. The branch-form handles and spouts are applied with moulded leaves and stems, creating a naturalistic design associated with longevity and good fortune. Dating from the Qing dynasty, 19th century. Size: each Length 12.6cm × Width 6cm × Height 9cm Condition: In excellent overall condition. There are very minor shallow enamel nicks to the foot rims, including a few originating from the firing process. Glaze crazing and minor firing flaws are present, consistent with age and manufacture.
