ドミニカ赤色の琥珀は、珍しく淡い色調を持つ琥珀の一種です。主にドミニカ共和国のサンティアゴ近くの山岳地帯の琥珀鉱山で見つかります。一般に赤殻の琥珀と呼ばれ、表面近く最初に採掘されるため地表の温度を最も受けやすく、その色が出ます。その希少性ゆえに知られていないことが多いですが、ドミニカ琥珀が発見されて以来存在してきました。紫外線には反応します。年齢はおよそ2500万〜4400万年と推定されています。水のように透明で完全に澄んだ、コレクターにとって唯一無二の逸品で、Catawikiでこれまで出品されたことはなく、高品質です。その希少性も、私には強く告白せざるを得ません。
