Pendulum clock - Gustav Becker - Wood - 1930-1940 - アール・ヌーヴォー

Gustav Becker Wall Clock – Art Nouveau Style – Germany, c. 1940 I am offering an original Gustav Becker wall clock dating from around 1940. This clock comes from my private collection of antique timepieces. I chose it because of its elegant proportions, attractive light wood case and the reliable Gustav Becker movement. It is a fine example of German clockmaking from the final years of the famous Gustav Becker brand. The clock is housed in a beautifully veneered wooden case with decorative Art Nouveau-inspired details. The lower door features original bevelled glass panels, giving the clock a refined and distinctive appearance. Inside is the original Gustav Becker mechanical movement, marked P42, complete with its original pendulum suspension and brass pendulum. The clock runs very well and strikes the hours and half-hours as intended. The movement operates smoothly and keeps good time. The dial has retained its authentic character and shows a pleasant natural patina consistent with its age. The wooden case is in very good condition with only minor signs of careful use accumulated over the decades. This is an honest, well-preserved collector's piece that has not been excessively restored and still retains its original charm. Dimensions Height: 76 cm Width: 37 cm Depth: 18 cm The clock shown in the photographs is the exact item that will be shipped. It will be carefully packed for transport. The pendulum and all movable parts will be secured separately to ensure safe delivery. Details Maker: Gustav Becker Origin: Germany Date: circa 1940 Style: Art Nouveau Revival / Art Nouveau Style Movement: Original Gustav Becker mechanical movement (P42) Power: Spring-driven, 8-day movement Chime: Strikes the hours and half-hours Case: Veneered wood with bevelled glass Condition: Very good working condition with normal age-related wear
