Außergewöhnliche französische Empire-Kaminuhr aus der Zeit um 1810–1820 mit fein ausgearbeitetem Putto aus dunkel patinierter Bronze und reich feuervergoldetem Bronzegehäuse.

Die Uhr vereint die elegante Formensprache des frühen Empire mit hochwertiger handwerklicher Ausführung. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die original erhaltene dunkle Patina des Puttos, die einen reizvollen Kontrast zur warmen Feuervergoldung des Gehäuses bildet. Das Zifferblatt zeigt ein fein durchbrochenes Dekor mit römischen Stundenindizes.

Das originale französische Uhrwerk ist vorhanden. Pendel und Schlüssel sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Die Uhr läuft und tickt. Das Werk wurde nicht auf Ganggenauigkeit geprüft.

Die Vorderseite ist mit einem fein ausgeführten Lorbeerkranz und floralen Applikationen verziert. Die Rückseite zeigt das originale Werk mit sichtbarer Hemmung. Insgesamt präsentiert sich die Uhr in einem sehr dekorativen und authentischen Erhaltungszustand mit altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren und schöner Patina.

Description (English)

Exceptional French Empire mantel clock dating from approximately 1810–1820, featuring a finely sculpted putto in dark patinated bronze and a richly fire-gilded bronze case.

The clock embodies the elegant design language of the early Empire period and displays a high level of craftsmanship. Particularly noteworthy is the original dark patina of the putto, creating a beautiful contrast with the warm gilded surface of the case. The dial features intricate openwork decoration with Roman numeral hour markers.

The original French movement is present. The pendulum and winding key are included. The clock is running and ticking. The movement has not been tested continuous operation.

The front is decorated with a finely executed laurel wreath and floral ornaments, while the rear reveals the original movement and escapement. Overall, the clock remains in an authentic condition with age-related wear, attractive patina, and strong decorative presence.
