Description from the seller
Venini - Venini Studio - Ice Bucket - Glass - Venini for Disaronno
Rare Murano Glass Ice Bucket – Venini for Disaronno – 1980s
Splendid and iconic vintage ice bucket in precious Murano artistic glass, the result of the famous collaboration that began in the 1980s between the prestigious furnace Venini and the renowned liqueur brand Disaronno.
The piece stands out for its refined modernist design with white and amber/ochre glass inclusions, tones that evoke the warm colors of the famous Italian liqueur.
Completing the design are two functional side ears/handles in transparent glass, applied hot.
Authentication note: Although the piece does not bear a front label, the attribution to Venini for Disaronno is absolute and unmistakable.
The molten glass “drizzle” technique, the white/amber color palette, the bottom cut and the distinctive shape with transparent handles constitute a widely documented and unequivocal piece of Murano craftsmanship from that period.
An unmissable barware art piece for collectors of art glass and mid-century modern.
